Nova

The Nova is an Icarus Class Cargo Runner capable of outrunning any Empire/Alliance ships. Nova is equipped with four military grade engines and the newest Slip Drive making her one of the fastest ships in the known Galaxies.
Maximum speed (atmosphere) 1,240 km/h.
The Slip Drive is the means the ship uses to travel vast distances in seconds. Also known as Warp; Hyper Space; Slip Stream; or Worm Whole Generator.

The ship has an artificial intelligence (AI) which appears to the crew in two forms: on the monitors and as the ships avatar Leesi (Lee-see). An avatar is a humanoid representation of an intelligence, and Nova is shown to have the above mentioned android avatar that represents the personality and physical representation of the ship's AI, in this case in the form of a human female. (Like Rommie from Andromeda)

Nova is equipped with two shield emitters that generates four types of shielding; Navigational Deflector; Deflectors (both energy and projectile); Radiation; and Longitudinal Wave Dispersal Shielding The combining of the four types of shield generators allows for less space designated for shield emitters.

The Nova is powered by 2 anti-matter energy converters, though one is powerful enough to power a ship 2x the Nova's size.

The Nova is also equipped with the latest Stealth Technology making her nearly invisible to any sensors though she still can be spotted visually.

The nine Duel defensive Forced Particle Beam cannons can be operated by a crew of 2 or remotely by the ships AI if crews are not available.

A minimum crew of 1 is needed as the Novas AI can take over the operations of all of its functions as long as there is a Captain to give her orders. The standard crew complement for a ship without an AI is 54 and the lounge is turned into additional crew quarters.
